Jon Martin

Jon Martin advises boards and executive leadership teams on leadership selection, succession and organisational effectiveness across the global industrial and natural resources sectors.

Based in Toronto, Jon has held partner roles at two leading international executive search firms, most recently leading the Global Mining & Metals Practice and Canadian Industrial Sector at Russell Reynolds Associates. His work spans board search, executive search, leadership assessment and succession advisory for organisations operating in complex, asset-intensive industries.

He has particular expertise supporting leadership appointments within mining, metals, energy and infrastructure, as well as senior operational, capital projects and technical leadership roles. Through his advisory practice, Jon Martin & Associates, he continues to counsel boards and C-suite leaders on leadership decisions that shape long-term organisational performance.

Before entering executive search, Jon worked in strategy consulting with Ernst & Young Management Consultants and began his career in corporate development with Imasco Ltd.

He holds an MA in International Relations (International Economics) from Johns Hopkins University's School of Advanced International Studies (SAIS) and a BA (Hons) from the University of Western Ontario.
