Rotary Club ... and another good cause!

The Rotary Club of Folkestone has been helping communities in Folkestone and overseas since the club was founded in 1923. Representing the team of another fine local organisation The Sports Trust which I have spoken about before, the Rotary Club held its annual Golf Tournament at Sene Valley Golf Club in May 2026. This was a poignant venue for me as my father, Peter passed away last year and that was his club - the first time I have been back since. A fine day with good company, I also learnt from the President of the Rotary just how difficult fund raising is these days with plenty of competition for donations. I hope the long tradition and spirit of charity giving and philanthropy continues. 1.2million members of the Rotary internationally suggests

it will. Well done the Rotary and thanks for the day!
